History of Android Operating System:

 If we talk about what is the history of Android, then the story is first started in 2003 as a company named Android Inc. It is established by Andy Rubin(founder) and co-founder (Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris white) in Palo Alto, California in October 2003. The Android project was developed by Rubin as having tremendous potential to develop smart mobile devices, which in turn led to the right step towards the future. In earlier times it was developed as an advanced operating system for digital cameras. As the market of cameras was not large, the company felt that it was not sufficient for their goals. About five months later, with its efforts, it developed Android as a advanced handset operating system. In July 2005, Google merged the Android company with itself and due to this the founders of this company also merged with Google. Google and Android Inc. there was about a $50 Million dollar deal between. At that time Google made Andy Rubin the team leader for this project. In 2007 it was announced by Google that Google was developing Android OS (Operating System), and then in 2008 HTC first launched Android operating system. It was first mobile phone based on this OS.

What is Android?

It is an operating system and specially designed for mobile phones. Which is based on a New generation version of the Linux kernel and other open source software. Linux is an open source software and also it is free for use. Its mean that any mobile company can use this android operating system. The distinguishing factor in this is the brand's kernel. It hosts the central core of android which is essentially a strip code and which helps the software to run.
 In the first It is developed only for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. But today it is also used  for televisions (OS Android TV) and Wear OS for wearable (like smartwatch, earphones and goggles). All developed by Google.

Types of Android Operating System Versions:

The Seventeen versions of this mobile operating system are launched But if we count major versions of this operating system there are only ten versions are released. Latest version is  android pie version and Android q. Its name are alphabetical order and based on food items. Details are given Below.

  • Android 1.0 Alpha  (Unofficial) : android 1 UI (user interface) is the first version and released in September 23, 2008. $ads={2}
  • Android 1.1 Beta  (Unofficial) : This is also know as "Petit Four" in February 9, 2009.
  • Android 1.5 Cupcake : It is based on Linux kernel and launched in April 27, 2009.
  • Android 1.6 Donut  : It was released on September 15, 2009 and included many new features such as the ability for developers to include their content in search results.
  • Android 2.0 (2.0 – 2.1) Eclair : On October 26, 2009, Eclair 2.0 was also released based on Linux kernel. Android 2.0.1 was released on December 3, 2009, with a few minor APIs, bug fixes, and frame-like behavior updates. Within this, Android 2.1 was launched once again on January 12, 2010 by making minor API and bug fixes changes.
  • Android 2.2 (2.2 – 2.2.3) Froyo: On May 20, 2010, Android 2.2 was released. After this, on January 18, 2011, Android 2.2.1 was released with changes like Security Update, Performance Improvement, and again some minor updates were launched on January 22, 2011 on Android 2.2.2. Android 2.2.3 was launched on November 21, 2011 with some new security updates in the same category.
  • Android 2.3 (2.3 – 2.3.7) Gingerbread : On December 6, 2010, its 2.3 version SDK (Software Development Kit) was released with changes to user inter-face design and speed. In December 2010 itself, it updated to version 2.3.1 by improving bugs and Nexus and also launched version 2.3.2 in January 2011. In the same way, making some further improvements 2.3.3 on 9 February 2011, 2.3.4 on 28 April 2011, 2.3.5 on 25 July, 2.3.6 on 2 September and Android 2.3.7 on 21 September 2011 in September itself Was launched. These frequent updates also included many features such as voice search bug and Google Wallet support.
  • Android 3.0 (3.0 – 3.2.6)  Honeycomb : The first tablet of version 3.0 SDK went on 22 February 2011. This version was first released on 24 February 2011 in Motorola Xoom Tablet. Subsequently, 3.1 was launched on 10 May 2011 and 3.2 on 15 July 2011. Along with further improvement in the quality of Android, this series has been updated with many new updates including Google Book update, WiFi improvement, hard-ware support etc. 3.2.1 was launched on 20 September 2011, 3.2.2 on 30 August 2011 and also on 3.2.3 on 30 August 2011. Subsequently, 3.2.4 was launched in December 2011, 3.2.5 in January 2012 and 3.2.6 in February 2012.
  • Android 4.0 (4.0 – 4.0.4)  Ice Cream Sandwich: Operating System 4.0 is released to the public on 18 October 2011. It  officially support the adobe Flash player. Next  update of this OS 4.0.1 was launched on 21 October, 4.0.2 on 28 November and 4.0.3 on 16 December. Operating System 4.0.4 was launched on March 29, 2012 with stability and better camera performance Quality. 
  • Android 4.1 (4.1 – 4.3.1) Jelly Bean : Operating System 4.1 was a very good update based on Linux kernel 3.0.31, with the aim of improving the performance and performance of the user interface at the time. The first device to run Jelly Bean was the Nexus 7 Tablet. Thereafter, further improvement in performance was launched on 11 July 2012, 4.1.1 and on 9 October 2012, 4.1.2. Android 4.2 was launched on 13 November 2012, and updated versions 4.2.1 on 27 November 2012, 4.2.2 on 11 February 2013. due to increasing popularity of Jelly Bean among the people, Google launched Jelly Bean 4.3 July 24, 2013 with the slogan "An even sweeter Jelly Bean" and improved Operating System version 4.3.1 on 3 October 2013.
  • Android 4.4 (4.4 – 4.4.4) KitKat: On 31 October 2013, Google launched 4.4 with a lot of new feature updates, with many updates to add the best new features like: 4.4.1 on 5 December, 4.4.2 on 9 December 2013, 4.4.3 Was launched on 19 June 2014 with new features like CVE-2014-0224 fixed on 2 June 2014 and 4.4.4.
  • Android 4.4 W (4.4W – 4.4W.2) KitKat with Wearable Extensions: On June 24, 2014, a new version of Android KitKat was released for wearable devices, also known as Android Wear. 4.4W was launched on 25 June 2014 for smartwatches and 4.4W.1 on 6 September 2014 for Google Map Navigation and Alarm with UI update. The new updated version 4.4W.2 was also launched on 21 October 2014 for GPS support and off-line music playback.
  • Android 5.0 (5.0 – 5.1) Lollipop: The first version 5.0 of the Lollipop series was released on 12 November 2014. It was launched on 2 and 19 December 2014 5.0.1 and 5.0.2 by fixing some bugs and making other minor changes. Android 5.1 was launched on 9 March 2015 by Google with changes and improvements such as high definition call, 4G LTE and multiple SIM support, and updated version 5.1.1 to add new features like WiFi calling and launched on 21 April 2015.
  • Android 6.0 (6.0 – 6.0.1) Marshmallow: Android 6.0 was released to the public on 5 October 2015 with many great features such as Android 4k display mode, USB-C support, fingerprint reader, automatic full data backup. Its updated version 6.0.1 was released on 7 December 2015, with the camera opening feature double-pressing the power button twice.
  • Android 7.0 (7.0 – 7.1.2) Nougat: Android 7.0 was launched by Google on August 22, 2016, with features such as the ability to zoom the screen and work faster. 7.0 update was released on October 4, 2016 and also updated to 7.1.1 and 7.1.2 on December 5, 2016 and April 4, 2017. Android 7.1.2 Nougat has the feature of periodically alerting you about battery usage.
  • Android (8.0 – 8.1.0) Oreo: On August 21, 2017, Android 8.0 Oreo has been released which includes many new features like WiFi Assistant, Sony LDAC Codec Support, Integrated Printing Support, Color Management. Changing this to make it even better, 8.1.0 has been released on 5 December 2017 which includes a lot of great features like Automatic Light and Dark theme, Wallpaper Colors API, Natural Network API, Shared Memory API. 
  • Android 9.0 – Pie: android pie version is the ninth major version of the Android operating system and according to counting it is 16th version. It was first announced by Google on 7 March 2018, and its first developer preview was also released the same day, which is also considered beta quality. The final beta of pie android version was released on July 25, 2018. The first official launch of pie android version was done on 6 August 2018. Many new great features like DNS Over TLS,  Adaptive Battery and Brightness, New Gesture Navigation,  New Accessibility Menu, Digital Wellbeing, New Screenshot Shortcut,  Enhanced Security Features, Quick and Easy Screen Rotation, Volume and Sound Enhancements, Notification Information
     have been added to it. This version also called android android p.
  • Android 10 :  It is the 10th version of android operating system according to counting is the 17th version. Android 10 was first announced by Google on 13 March 2019, and its first beta was also released on the same day. The fourth beta with API and SDK was finally released by Google on 5 June and is officially launched on 3 September 2019. Android 10 includes a lot of new features like AV1 Video Codec, HDR10 + Video Format and Opus Audio Codec support, which is a new discovery in the field of technology. It is also called android q. Till Now there is now news about android 10 update. 
Gapps android 10: (Google apps)is a custom rom for this version. It is used for Developers to flashing the android.

 What is Android Root?

The name of Android root has also been added to it since the arrival of Android Mobile. Whenever we use Android mobile, we have to follow the rules of the company of that mobile, and we are able to use the same features that the company implements in that mobile and many of the apps given by the company Can not even uninstall. That is, we also cannot run the restricted application made by the company. If you want to run your mobile on your own, So you have to root it, by rooting the mobile, according to us we can insert the software and remove any from it. In common language routing  is called hacking of Android Apps. But it is like developer settings of android. If you don't know about this OS never use rooting because any miner mistake bricked your handset and you violate the company laws and Terms & conditions of policy which loss warranty of your handset.
